In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places, reading or writing, watching television, playing with my cat, or hanging out with friends.

Hoa Trinh – Originally from Haiphong, Vietnam. I am Human Physiology major with a minor in Chemistry and Economics. In the future, I hope to attend graduate school and work in some humanitarian medicine. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watch TV shows, or hanging out with friends.

Hi, my name is Kara Ormiston and I am from Orange County, CA. I am a Human Physiology major with a minor in Global Health. I am attending physician assistant school at Trevecca University and plan to work in global health. In my downtime I enjoy camping, hiking, board games, and food!

Hi, my name is Kelsey Kemmer and I am from Orange County, CA. I am a senior Human Physiology major with a minor in Spanish. I will attend physical therapy school at Regis University and pursue a career in neurological physical therapy. When I’m not studying, I love to be outdoors playing soccer, hiking, skiing and everything in between!

Hi! My name is Jessica O’Neill and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I’m a Human
Physiology major with a minor in Chemistry and will apply to medical school in hopes of becoming a pediatric neurologist and working with children who have
special needs. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and
family and traveling

Hi, my name is Ethan Kizziar and I hail from Portland, Oregon. I graduate from UO with a major in Human Physiology and Spanish minor which will hopefully help me get into physical therapy school in the future! I worked a researcher with Monica Perez at Shirley Ryan Abilitylab in Chicago, Ill and am now in PT school at Northwestern University!

Zeeya Aspandiar. When she is not catching up on work for her Human Anatomy and Physiology major, Zeeya writes for the Oregon Voice magazine and volunteers for the student-run nonprofit Rosie. In the future she hopes to work in humanitarian medicine and global health. A native of Beaverton, Oregon, she can be found playing with doggies, taking walks in the rain, reading classical literature, avoiding the gym, and getting a little too excited at Thursday Night Trivia.

Nick Jackson (former lab manager, now a graduate student at UT Austin) hails from Anchorage, AK and has a B.S. in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Mathematics, from University of Alaska, Anchorage. He’s interested in exploring the motor neurophysiology of skateboarding and eventually plans on pursuing behavioral neuroscience or biostatistics in graduate school. For fun, he enjoys skateboarding, photography, traveling, and daydreaming.

Jeremy Teman, UC Berkeley

Sean Noah is currently a psychology graduate student at UC Davis, studying neural mechanisms of attention with Dr. Ron Mangun. He spends most of his time looking at EEG time series and neuroimaging data, and the rest of his time outside

Ana Sias graduated from UC Berkeley and is a graduate student at UCLA Interdepartmental PhD Program in Neuroscience.

Taylor Hulahan completed her honors thesis in Integrative Physiology at UC Berkeley where she examined the effects of head motion on Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy measurements of GABA. She will be joining the Saha Laboratory at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA.

Shabnam Bonyadi graduated from UC Berkeley in Bioengineering and is now a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research project is to understand the effects of surface wear on the mechanical performance of hydrogels and cartilage.

Jason Samaha is a Ph.D. student at UW-Madison working with Brad Postle on the role of neural oscillations in perceptual awareness and in the top-down control over visual processing. Jason uses psychophysics, EEG/ECoG, computational modeling, and non-invasive brain stimulation in humans to address these questions.

Trevor Yacovone earned degrees in Computer Science & Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley. He is the enterprise software company Pivotal, working as a Software Engineer on the Data R&D team.

Dylan Saks earned his Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, helping people with physical and psychiatric disability to meet important life outcomes. He is also working as a behavioral change guide at Triggr health ( https://triggrhealth.com) an app that provides 24/7 support to people with substance use challenges using evidence based behavioral change like motivational interviewing and CBT.

Derek Huffman received his Ph.D. from UC Irvine with Craig Stark, where he studied human memory using fMRI, computational modeling, and behavioral techniques. He is now working as a postdoc with Arne Ekstrom at UC Davis, and he is using immersive virtual reality, multivariate data analysis, and fMRI to elucidate the brain networks underlying human spatial memory.

Stuti Bansal is currently a second-year student at UC Berkeley, studying Neurobiology. She’s working as a research assistant in Kriegsfeld Lab, where they work with mice to determine the effects of disrupting circadian rhythms on reproductive systems, metabolic function, and behavior, among other things.
